Strides in the Right Direction as Thunder Rolls at Thunder Valley

Thunder Valley Motocross Park’s mile-high altitude always presents riders with yet another challenge but this year’s unpredictable and extreme weather conditions added an additional element to Saturday’s racing. While the day started off with sunny skies, Thunder and lightning rolled in just halfway through Moto 1, Forming much different track conditions than the riders were originally prepared for. The Troy Lee Designs/ Red Bull KTM riders have been patient in giving the team time and trust to get the KTM 250 SXF where it needs to be for them to feel comfortable enough to run up front. Three races down and steps I the right direction left our riders happy with the progress and excited for the next race. As the series takes a break this upcoming weekend we will make sure that everyone is ready to come out swinging at Highpoint on June 15th.

“I think this week we made big strides in getting our guys comfortable with where they need to be. The pieces we have been struggling with are finally starting to come together and we are going to use this weekend off to continue progress in the right direction.” – Tyler Keefe – TLD Red Bull KTM Team Manager

“I had good speed all day and was happy to be in the battle up front for a bit. I am still struggling a bit with my wrist, which is causing me to lose feeling about halfway through, making it tough to hang on to the bike. I am going to use this weekend off wisely and rest up so I can come out swinging at Highpoint!” - Jordon Smith #28
