SX Race Report Toronto, Hill wins!

Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Hill Wins in Toronto

Toronto, Canada (March 12, 2016) – Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Justin Hill has steadily made his way to the top of the results and at the third round of the Eastern Regional 250SX class he grabbed his second career win inside Rogers Centre. With his solid performances so far this year, Hill is second in the standings just two points out of the lead. Bringing home the TLD sweep was Sean Cantrell, who grabbed another Eastern Regional Arenacross Lites Class win in Lafayette, Louisiana. Since the start of the season, Hill has shown he’s got the speed to be at the front. It didn’t take long for that speed to hit a peak in Toronto, earning the fastest qualifier, taking second in his heat before leading nearly every lap of the main event. “I had a lot of confidence coming into the main after getting the top qualifier and finishing second in the heat,” said Hill. “The bike was running awesome and I’m really happy to be in contention with the championship. I couldn’t be happier.” Joining Hill at the front of the pack was Alex Frye. After a tough go of it last weekend in Daytona, Frye bounced back in a big way. He started in the top five and kept his KTM 250 SX-F at the front, eventually bringing home a season-best finish of fourth. Shane McElrath‘s luck in the main events continued to fair on the bad side after a great run at the front was cut short due to a flat tire. An unusual issue during a main event, and eventually was credited with 18th. Next weekend the fourth round takes the racers to Motor City as the series takes over Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The trio of Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM riders wore the GP Air Vert Purple Racewear during practice with the SE Helmet, and SE Starbust Flo Orange and Black Racewear during the night event. Troy Lee Designs’ Cole Seely Back Inside Top Five in Toronto

Toronto, Canada (March 12, 2016) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely made his return to the top five with a solid fourth-place finish in front of a packed crowd inside the Rogers Centre. Following a semi-race victory, Seely managed to squeak by the first turn and first lane crashes in the Main Event to start up front. He kept his intensity high and made a late-race pass for fourth to secure his 10th top-10 finish this season. “I felt good tonight and was happy to be back racing up front with those guys,” said Seely. “I haven’t been able to run with the front pack in a while so it was nice to be back up where I feel like I can run. The next step would be to get back on the podium so we’ll see what happens next week in Detroit.” The Toronto fans enjoyed the fan-favorite KTM Junior Supercross Challenge during intermission. With the 12-rider lineup sporting Troy Lee Designs GP Air Youth Starburst Flo Orange Racewear with Youth Air Glove, the three-lap race win went to Jamieson Macdonald from Canada. Second-place finisher Wyatt Hasil passed Lindin Tomilin on the second lap with Tomilin holding onto the final podium spot. Seely is currently fifth overall in the championship standings. Monster Energy Supercross will head back to the states as the series takes over Ford Field in Detroit on March 19. Seely was decked out in the GP Air Vert White and Black Racewear and the SE Helmet.
